Andersons’ Clerkship and PLT programs provide invaluable, practical experience and the chance to explore a range of practice areas.
Transitioning from university to the legal profession is an exciting and daunting time in any law student’s life. At Andersons, we provide a range of immersive opportunities for law students and recent graduates to gain legal experience and practical training to facilitate this important transition.
As a clerk, you will be exposed to our Commercial, Personal Injury, Wills and Estates and Family Law teams.
You will work within a team of clerks, gaining experience and exposure on real client matters. You will be led by and gain hands-on experience from a range of practitioners at various levels, including two partners dedicated to overseeing the clerkship program.
Your day-to-day will include undertaking legal research, drafting correspondence and a range of legal documents, attending client meetings, observing court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution.
Andersons’ Clerkships operate over a consecutive six-week period and clerks are required to commit to a minimum of three days per week.
The program runs all year, and dates suitable to successful applicants can be negotiated with our Recruitment Team.
Applications are open to third year law students and above only.
Practical Legal Training at Andersons.
Andersons offers a number of PLT placements each year with graduates given the opportunity to negotiate the length of their placement depending on their study commitments and training provider’s requirements.
We will only consider PLT applications during our Clerkship Program application period.
